At the end of November, about 20 researchers and practitioners from various fields gathered at our workshop at ACI2017 conference. The aim was to explore human-animal interaction and bonding, and to work on how to design technology supporting it.
Our guest speaker Dr. Katriina Tiira from smartDOG ltd. presented valuable insights into her work on dogs’ cognitive testing, applied to human-dog bond. Inspired by the talk, we continued our hands-on workshop based on design thinking process, starting with brainstorming and ending up with prototyping for technological solutions that would deepen the human-animal bond.
The hard work of the day will be summarized online and we are also planning to write an academic paper on that. More info will follow on the workshop website.
Team Turre says thank you to all the great participants for hard work, to Katriina Tiira for an inspiring talk and to Oskar Juhlin and Clara Mancini for valuable support!
